Laodicean Condition Claimed by the General Conference Of Seventh-day Adventists

“Today we hesitate to claim we’re the remnant; but as for Laodicea, that’s us! Us alone!...No other Christian group vies with us for the dubious privilege of being identified with it….claiming exclusive rights to Laodicea is not politically incorrect. So, unchallenged, we’ve become anchored in the view that Seventh-day Adventists are the sole group envisioned in the apocalyptic concept of that term.” Adventist Review, August 28, 2008, p 5.

The Laodicean’s Lament
My hope is built on nothing less,
Than my dear Church, and it’s success!
No Matter what my Church may do,
It cannot fall—its going through!
My hope is built on nothing more,
For me its heaven’s open door.
So I rejoice—let others wail;
It’s going through—it cannot fail!
I do not need to watch and wait;
To me it stands as heaven’s gate;
So I’ll support her, come what may—
She’ll see me through on that glad day!
O Could it be—and to my shame—
God’s church and mine are not the same?
God’s church fulfill His sacred plan;
My Church reveals the stamp of man!
My Church slept on—that day at last
Did come, and so the harvest passed.
I stuck with her at any cost—
God’s church went through, but left me lost!

It’s hard for us to believe Christ’s description, “blind and naked,” of His last lukewarm, Laodicean, foolish virgin, “stony ground hearers” church in Revelation 3:15-20 applies to the 501c3 modern SDA organization, but it does. Just like Queen Vashti refused to show off her beauty at the command of the King, her husband, SDA’s have refused to show off the beautiful truths in their daily choices (Bride making herself ready) to become converted and be doers and not just hearers of the great truths given to us in 1841-1846.

Unless divine power (character=thoughts and feelings=a living Epistle/A sermon in shoes/living the truth we know in our daily choices) is brought into the experience of the people of God, false theories and erroneous ideas will take minds captive, Christ and His Righteousness will be dropped out of the experience of many, and their faith will be without power or life. Such will not have a daily living experience of the love of God in the heart; and if they do not zealously repent, they will be among those who are represented by the Laodiceans, who will be spewed out of the mouth of the Lord.E.G.W., Review, September 3, 1889.

As the Jews (AKA “501c3 non-profit/tax-exempt ADVENTIST members TODAY) departed from God, and failed to make the righteousness of Christ their own by faith, the Sabbath lost its significance to them. Satan was seeking to exalt himself and to draw men away from Christ, and he worked to pervert the Sabbath, because it is the sign of the power of Christ. The Jewish leaders accomplished the will of Satan by surrounding God’s rest day with burdensome requirements. In the days of Christ the Sabbath had become so perverted that its observance reflected the character of selfish and arbitrary men rather than the character of the loving heavenly Father. The rabbis virtually represented God as giving laws which it was impossible for men to obey. They led the people to look upon God as a tyrant, and to think that the observance of the Sabbath, as He required it, made men hard-hearted and cruel. It was the work of Christ to clear away these misconceptions. Although the rabbis followed Him with merciless hostility, He did not even appear to conform to their requirements, but went straight forward, keeping the Sabbath according to the law of God.” The Desire of Ages, p. 283.4

Laodicean” is a denominational approved spiritual condition claimed by modern Seventh-day Adventist members today:

When the finished product carries the stamp of a standard publishing house, it bears denominational approval. It is then a denominational, not a private, publication. It has a measure of authority and dignity not otherwise possible.” Ministry, December, 1948, p 23, Review and Herald Publishing Association.

Remember the Achan principle? If one person has SIN in their lives the WHOLE CAMP pays the price. Like all the members of the SDA church will pay the price of sin. The Lord God of Israel would not permit that such a state of things should exist. Achan had thought that his sin was secret and hidden from all human eyes … and they ran unto the tent, and behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. Read more about that story and how it applies to SDA’s here.

The prophet declares, “And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.” Brightness, glory, and power are to be connected with the third angel’s message (Revelation 14), and conviction will follow wherever it is preached in demonstration of the Spirit.

     How will any of our brethren know when this Light shall come to the people of God? As yet, we certainly have not seen the Light that answers to this description. God has Light for His people, and all who will accept it will see the sinfulness of remaining in a lukewarm condition . . . !” – Review & Herald, April 1, 1890.

If the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists claim to be Laodicean (indifferent to Christ/truth), what does that mean for YOU, a member of this worldwide Laodicean SDA church organization?

To start, what does “Laodicean” mean? Laodicean Definition: A person with a indifferent, halfhearted or lukewarm attitude especially in matters of religion.

LUKEWARM! What does it mean to be a LUKEWARM (tepid) Seventh-day Adventist “Christian”? (of a person, attitude, or action) unenthusiastic. (“lukewarm, tepid”) Synonyms: indifferent, cool, halfhearted, apathetic, unenthusiastic, tepid, perfunctory, noncommittal, lackadaisical, unenthused;

LUKEWARM (Laodicean) means to be indifferent or non-committed.

So to be Laodicean means to be LUKEWARM. Let’s see what ELSE it means to be LAODICEAN:

Ellen White labeled the Laodicean church as the foolish virgin church:

“The state of the Church represented by the foolish virgins, is also spoken of as the Laodicean state.” E. G. White, Review and Herald Articles, Vol. 2, 420.

This is, then, the final message [the Amen] to the 501c3 SDA church before the close of probation. The description given of the indifferent Laodiceans is fearful and startling. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied, for the Witness is ‘faithful and true’.

Let’s see what the Bible says is the message to Laodicea or rather WHAT happens to Laodicean (lukewarm) church members:

Revelation 3:16 “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

Revelation 3:15 “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!”

Revelation 3:17 “You say, ‘I am rich (in truth); I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

COIN of “repentance”

Why Christ spews the lukewarm Laodicean foolish virgin out of His mouth

“To those who are indifferent at this time Christ’s warning is: ‘Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth.’ Revelation 3:16. The figure of spewing out of His mouth means that He cannot offer up your prayers or your expressions of love to God. he cannot endorse your teaching of His word or your spiritual work in anywise. He cannot present your religious exercises with the request that grace be given you.” 6 Testimonies, p. 408

“As soon as the views of these people were crossed, they manifested a stubborn, self-righteous spirit that rejected all instruction. Though professing great humility, they were boastful in their sophistry of sanctification, and resisted all appeals to reason. We felt that all our efforts to convince them of their error were useless, as they took the position that they were not learners but teachers.” (LS88 p. 209)
Video: SDA Church Unites With Papacy – So Sad – SDA church stepped off the upward path to Heaven in 1852 – became Laodicean foolish virgins and have waxed stronger and stronger in apostasy ever since.

Who are the Laodiceans?

“The message to the Laodiceans is applicable to SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS who have great light and have not walked in the light.” (2 Selected Messages p. 66)

Laodicea does not represent the true Adventists, it represents Adventists who have not walked in the light, nominal Adventists, or professed Adventists.  Joseph Bates once wrote this plainly…

Joseph Bates sardis Philadelphia Laodicea nominal adventists“First part, SARDIS, the nominal church or Babylon. Second part, Laodicea, the nominal Adventist. Third part, Philadelphia, the only true church of God on earth, for they ask to be translated to the city of God. Rev.iii,12; Heb.xii,22–24. In the name of Jesus, I exhort you again to flee from the Laodiceans, as from Sodom and Gomorrah. Their teachings are false and delusive; and lead to utter destruction. Death! DEATH!! eternal DEATH!!! is on their track. Remember Lot’s wife.” JOSEPH BATES. Fairhaven, Mass.,  Nov. 10, 1850. (The Adventist Review and Sabbath Herald, November 1850)

We are told straightly Laodicea represents nominal Adventists, or professed Adventists.  They say they are Adventists and are not.  Having a name on your organization makes them Adventist as much as calling yourself a Jew means you are a real Jew, or saying you are Abraham’s seed, but your real father is the devil.  The true Adventist is not one which has a baptismal certificate which says he is a Seventh-day Adventist, but rather the true Adventist is one which is one inwardly, in the heart, in the spirit, whose praise is not of men, but of God.(See Rom 2:28, 29).

The bible tells the Philadelphians that there would be those who profess they are Jews and are not right before the second coming.  The bible tells us they are not God’s church, but are the “synagogue of Satan”.

Rev 3:9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

That was written to the church of Philadelphia, which is God’s last true church.   Ellen White identified these professed Jews in the above verse as “professed Adventists”.

“You think, that those who worship before the saint’s feet, (Rev 3:9), will at last be saved. Here I must differ with you; for God shewed me that this class were professed Adventists, who had fallen away, and “crucified to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.” And in the “hour of temptation,” which is yet to come, to show out every one’s true character, they will know that they are forever lost; and overwhelmed with anguish of spirit, they will bow at the saint’s feet.” (EGW A Word to the Little Flock, page 12)

In this passage we are shown that the “synagogue of Satan” in Revelation 3:9 is a church and says that they are Adventist, but are not.  As Joseph Bates put it “First part, SARDIS, the nominal church or Babylon. Second part, Laodicea, the nominal Adventist. Third part, Philadelphia, the only true church of God on earth…”(The Adventist Review and Sabbath Herald, November 1850)

Philadelphia is “the only true church of God on earth” in this time.  It has been since 1844 and will be until Jesus comes and we are warned to flee out of the midst of this Laodicean church by God himself and not to look back.

Notice in the following quote that those described as the Church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3:7-13 are the 144,000, the sealed.  To be outside of this church in the time of the end, and in Laodicea will ensure that you receive the mark of the beast.

“The 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious star containing Jesus’ new name…Then it was that the synagogue of Satan knew that God had love us who could wash one another’s feet and salute the brethren with a holy kiss, and they worshiped at our feet.” (EGW Early Writings page 15)

Who is Laodicea?  We have learned already that Laodicea represents Adventists who have had great light and not walked in it, also, professed Adventists, or nominal Adventists.   Most who have some background on Seventh-day Adventism already understand who it is that I am talking about.  Many times we quote the papacy and allow them to speak for themselves, to expose the truth about Babylon, the little horn, as well as the first beast of Revelation.  Today there is another group who know very well who they are, but don’t understand the consequences of who they are.  It is the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, an organization that says they are Adventist and are not, an organization of “professed Adventists”.   From an article in the Adventist Review from August 2008 we read:

“Today we hesitate to claim we’re the remnant; but as for Laodicea, that’s us! Us alone!…No other Christian group vies with us for the dubious privilege of being identified with it….claiming exclusive rights to Laodicea is not politically incorrect. So, unchallenged, we’ve become anchored in the view that Seventh-day Adventists are the sole group envisioned in the apocalyptic concept of that term.” (Adventist Review, August 28, 2008, p 5.)

He is correct, just as Joseph Bates was that they are not the remnant, but they are Laodicea, and regarding this nominal Adventist organization, we have a call to give them:

Call out of the Nominal (Professed) Adventist Churches

“I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. He hopes to deceive the honest and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant.” (Ellen White Early Writings 261).

If this is to happen just before the loud cry and the plagues being poured out, then it would be a great deception to teach that the shaking shakes people out of the General Conference.  When in fact the call will be the opposite which is “come out of those churches” before the plagues fall.

The promise is that the honest will come out of the nominal Adventist churches just before the plagues are poured out and will take their stand with the true Adventists, the Adventist Church of 1844, the one that was in existence more than nineteen years before the General Conference.

  1. The Shaking commenced before the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists did.
  2. The Seventh-day Adventist Church existed before the General Conference did.
  3. The shaking is a message to Laodicea
  4. Laodicea represents Adventists who have not walked in the light
  5. Laodicea represents professed Adventists who are not Adventists at all.
  6. Laodicea is called “the synagogue of Satan” and not “the church of God”
  7. We are to flee out of the midst of Laodicea and the nominal Adventists and not look back or we would suffer destruction and death.
  8. Philadelphia is the true Seventh-day Adventist church of the last days.
“The Laodicean message applies to ALL who PROFESS to keep the law of God, and yet are not doers of it.” Ellen White, RH October 17, 1899, par. 3
THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN KEEP THE LAW OF GOD IS TO WORSHIP THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD AND HIS ONLY SON JESUS CHRIST; NOT THE TRINITY OF GODS. Tammuz is now called “God the Son” in the trinity of gods worshiped by 501c3 Adventists today. See 2 Cor 11:3-4 for a special warning not to worship “Another Jesus” or “Another Spirit” or preach “Another gospel”.

Jesus says that although Laodicean Adventists THINK they have the truth, they do not put the truth into practice in their daily choice of thoughts, words and actions. They don’t realize that just to SAY they are a Adventist does not save them, because they are really wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked! And because of this they are neither cold nor hot, but LUKEWARM and He does NOT like a lukewarm Christian and will SPUE LAODICEANS OUT OF HIS MOUTH! That does not sound good. Who wants a lukewarm glass of water? You spit it out and Christ will spit out the lukewarm Christian.

Laodicean also means a foolish virgin. What happens to the foolish virgins according to the Bible? Oh foolish virgin I know you not! Matthew 25:12, “But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.”

Proverbs 14:25 “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.”

Proverbs 11:30 “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.”

The spiritual condition claimed in 2008 by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists IS Laodicean. LUKEWARM, FOOLISH VIRGIN CHRISTIANS that are spued out and receive an unexpected denial, “I know you not”.

What does the Bible say happens to LUKEWARM Christians? Revelation 3:16 “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

To be a HOT Christian means to have enthusiastic ZEAL in YOUR OWN LIFE TO OBEY CHRIST WHICH THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE the MIND or CHARACTER of CHRIST in you! INVITE CHRIST the ONLY true literal Son of the ONLY LIVING ETERNAL IMMORTAL GOD INTO YOUR HEART RIGHT NOW! Sister White says, “The coin with which you purchase the white raiment and the eyesalve is repentance.”

OUR MIND IS THE SECRET MOST HOLY PLACE of the MOST HIGH GOD AND HIS SON. OUR BODY IS TO BE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, THE ARK OF THE COVENANT. THE MIND CONSECRATED TO GOD’S SERVICE. INDIVIDUALLY GETTING HEATHEN AND PAGAN THINGS OUT OF OUR OWN LIVES. OUT OF OUR THOUGHTS, WORDS AND ACTIONS. CHRIST IS THE  the pillar of cloud OVER US and speaks to us in our minds today for those who humbly submit to Christ the law in us by desiring to happily choose right – daily choices –  and daily coming to God through Christ and saying with your whole heart:

“TAKE ME AS WHOLLY THINE. I LAY ALL MY PLANS AT THY FEET. USE ME TODAY IN THY SERVICE, ABIDE WITH ME AND LET ALL MY WORK BE WROUGHT IN THEE.” Psalms 37:4 “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

ONLY Christ can give you enthusiastic ZEAL to obey Him! To obey all Ten Commandments!

The opposite of LUKEWARM IS ZEAL!

ZEAL: great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.

Who we worship, what kind of a God we adore and praise, has tremendous consequences to our understanding of God’s love, the integrity of His character, and the power of His salvation. Satan does not want us to be on fire for God! To ZEALOUSLY REPENT AND CHANGE OUR OWN WAYS TO BE IN HARMONY WITH CHRIST’S WAYS! If we worship Satan we will be Laodicean, non-committed to Christ. To be 1/10 Christian is to be totally lost.

We cannot just put on our religion coat on Saturday when we are in church. Our fellowship is with GOD AND HIS SON. FELLOWSHIP cannot be with those who are unbelievers. A unbeliever is someone who does not practice the religion of Christ. Thinking HOLY THOUGHTS, SAYING HOLY WORDS, DOERS OF THE WORD (the language of Heaven is the Bible verses put into practice in our daily lives in what we think, say and do) We must wear the coat of Christ 24/7/365 days a week! Be in constant agreement with God! That is what it means to be PERFECT or HOLY is to be in CONSTANT AGREEMENT with God! That means we invite Christ into our minds to transform our mind to think, talk and act the Ten Commandment MIND OF GOD. Let this MIND be in you that was ALSO in Christ Jesus. The Ten Commandments are a transcript or copy of God’s MIND in Christ’s mind. The principles of God government is found in the Ten Thoughts or Ten Words or 10 Commandments of God. God’s ways are found in the Ten Commandments…and Christ perfectly followed in His Father and God’s footsteps; and so must we follow in Christ’s footsteps.

From beginning to END the Adventist movement also represents the Parable of the Ten Virgins. Ellen White warns: “Satan has COME IN with his specious temptations, and has led the professed followers of Christ away from the [PILOT] Leader (Christ), classing them with the foolish virgins.” Testimonies to Ministers, p. 130.

The class represented by the foolish virgins are not hypocrites. They have a regard for the truth, they have advocated the truth, they are attracted to those who believe the truth; but they have not yielded themselves to the Holy Spirit’s working. They have not fallen upon the Rock, Christ Jesus, and permitted their old nature to be broken up. This class are represented also by the stony-ground hearers. They receive the word with readiness, but they fail of assimilating its principles. Its influence is not abiding. The Spirit works upon man’s heart, according to his desire and consent implanting in him a new nature; but the class represented by the foolish virgins have been content with a superficial work. They do not know God. They have not studied His character; they have not held communion with Him; therefore they do not know how to trust, how to look and live. Their service to God degenerates into a form. “They come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as My people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.” Ezekiel 33:31. The apostle Paul points out that this will be the special characteristic of those who live just before Christ’s second coming. He says, “In the last days perilous times shall come: for men shall be lovers of their own selves; … lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

“In the summer and autumn of 1844 the proclamation, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh,” was given. The two classes represented by the wise and foolish virgins were THEN developed — one class who looked with joy to the Lord’s appearing, and who had been diligently preparing to meet Him; another class that, influenced by fear and acting from impulse, had been satisfied with a theory of the truth, but were destitute of the grace of God. In the parable, when the bridegroom came, “they that were ready went in with him to the marriage.”– The Great Controversy, p. 426

“Many who went forth to meet the Bridegroom under the messages of the first and second angels, refused the third, the last testing message to be given to the world, and
 a similar position will be taken when the last call is made.”
  {RH, October 31, 1899 par. 12} )

Pray, “Thy KINGDOM COME” Christ’s character IN YOU. Means truth settled in your mind that you DO, not just hear.
“The proclamation, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh,” in the summer of 1844, led thousands to expect the immediate advent of the Lord. At the appointed time the Bridegroom came, not to the earth, as the people expected, but to the Ancient of Days in heaven, to the marriage, the reception of His kingdom. “They that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” They were not to be present in person at he marriage; for it takes place in heaven,while they are upon the earth. The followers of Christ are to wait for their Lord, when He will return from the wedding. Luke 12 : 36. But they are to understand His work, and to follow Him by faith as He goes in before God. It is in this sense that they are said to go in to the marriage.”–  The Great Controversy., p. 427.
 “The great plan of redemption, as revealed in the closing work of these last days, should receive close examination. The scenes connected with the sanctuary above should make such an impression upon the minds and hearts of all that they may be able to impress others. All need to become more intelligent in regard to the work of the atonement, which is going on in the sanctuary above. When this grand truth is seen and understood, those who hold it will work in harmony with Christ to prepare a people to stand in the great day of God, and their efforts will be successful. By study, contemplation, and prayer God’s people will be elevated above common, earthly thoughts and feelings, and will be brought into harmony with Christ and His great work of cleansing the sanctuary above from the sins of the people. Their faith will go with Him into the sanctuary, and the worshipers on earth will be carefully reviewing their lives and comparing their characters with the great standard of righteousness. They will see their own defects; they will also see that they must have the aid of the Spirit of God if they would become qualified for the great and solemn work for this time which is laid upon God’s ambassadors.” 5T 575
“Thus those who follow in the light of the prophetic word saw that, instead of coming to the earth at the termination of the 2300 days in 1844, Christ then entered the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary to perform the closing work of atonement preparatory to His coming.” (The Great Controversy, p. 422).

So the pioneers of Adventism WENT IN WITH CHRIST BY FAITH TO THE MARRIAGE. The leaders of Adventism who obeyed the truth in “The truths that we received in 1841, ’42, ’43, and ’44 are NOW to be studied and proclaimed. The messages of the first, second, and third angels will in the future [now 2015-  September 19, 2016! Rev 13:5 the end of the 42 months which started on March 19, 2013] be proclaimed with a loud voice. They will be given with earnest determination and in the power of the Spirit.” {15MR 317.1}

Many who went forth to meet the Bridegroom under the messages of the first and second angels, REFUSED the third, the last testing message to be given to the world, and a SIMILAR position will be taken when the LAST call is made.”  {RH, October 31, 1899 par. 12} )

When it is YOUR time to be judged, for no man knoweth the day nor hour of His coming = this is not necessarily his 2nd coming literally – but a meeting of the mind or not with Christ – putting into practice all that you KNOW to do that is right and Holy – being in perfect agreement with God in your thoughts, words and actions. Faith is a action word for faith without works is dead, and yet no works alone without faith or Christ will save you.

At the SURPRISE visitation when your time comes to be judged, will Christ find you partaking of the UNHOLY FEAST (finding fault and criticizing others – speaking UNHOLY WORDS) or the HOLY FEAST of the Bread of the Lamb, studying the Word of God and SHARING IT by your WORDS and ACTIONS, with an intensity yet before unknown?

THE FOOLISH VIRGINS (LUKEWARM LAODICEAN) TARES:will feed upon the errors and mistakes and faults of others, “UNTIL,” said the angel, “the Lord Jesus shall rise up from His mediatorial work in the heavenly sanctuary and shall clothe Himself with the garments of vengeance and SURPRISE THEM at their UNHOLY FEAST, and they will find themselves unprepared for the marriage supper of the Lamb (WORD OF GOD = hearers and doers of THE WORD, THE WAY THE TRUTH, THE 10 COMMANDMENTS).” Their taste has been so perverted that they would be inclined to criticize even the table of the Lord in His kingdom.” Testimonies for the Church Volume 5, p. 689.2

The KINGDOM OF GOD IS THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST IN US. THE MIND OF CHRIST IN US. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS THE LAW OF GOD IN US. THE MIND OF GOD IN US. HIS THOUGHTS AND HIS FEELINGS are written in the two lobes of our mind by His own finger, through Christ in us. Christ’s MIND is a copy or the Law of God. Christ is the Law in us. Christ mind is the 10 law in our mind. Our actions show how much we love Christ. Whether we are a HOST or medium or channel for Christ who is the law in us. Christ is truth, the law is truth. Christ is perfect, the law is perfect, so if Christ the law is in our mind we will be in perfect obedience, because only Christ can make us perfect. Perfect and holy simply means to be in constant agreement with God.

Christ says of these unholy foolish virgins who are lukewarm laodicean tares who are gathered into the 501c3 modern SDA church theological bundle to be burned, “DEPART FROM ME FOR I KNOW YOU NOT”.

If these persons do not humble their hearts before God, if they harbor the suggestions of Satan, doubt and infidelity will take possession of the soul, and they will see everything in a false light. Let the seeds of doubt once be sown in their hearts and they will have an abundant harvest to reap. They (501c3 Adventists) will come to mistrust and disbelieve truths which are plain and full of beauty to others who have not educated themselves in unbelief. Those who train the mind to seize upon everything which they can use as a peg to hang a doubt upon, and suggest these thoughts to other minds, will always find occasion to doubt. They will question and criticize everything that arises in the unfolding of truth, criticize the work and position of others, criticize every branch of the work in which they have not themselves a part.They will feed upon the errors and mistakes and faults of others, “until,” said the angel, “the Lord Jesus shall rise up from His mediatorial work in the heavenly sanctuary and shall clothe Himself with the garments of vengeance and surprise them at their unholy feast, and they will find themselves unprepared for the marriage supper of the Lamb.” Their taste has been so perverted that they would be inclined to criticize even the table of the Lord in His kingdom.” Testimonies for the Church Volume 5, p. 689.2

“There is many a man in the humble walks of life today whom the Lord might designate as He did Abraham: “The friend of God.” Such men approve that which God approves and condemn that which He condemns. In their presence even the sinner feels a sense of awe, a restraint; for God is with them, and they are living epistles, known and read of all men. There is a softened tenderness, a dignity, a divine propriety, in their deportment, which gives them power (character/influence) over the hearts of their fellow men.”  {4T 615.3}

   “In the work of reform to be carried forward today, there is need of men who, like Ezra and Nehemiah, will not palliate or excuse sin, nor shrink from vindicating the honor of God. Those upon whom rests the burden of this work will not hold their peace when wrong is done, neither will they cover evil with a cloak of false charity. They will remember that God is no respecter of persons,and that severity to a few may prove mercy to many. They will remember also that in the one who rebukes evil the spirit of Christ should ever be revealed. {PK 675.1}

R. & H., Bok 2, p. 419: – “When the third angel’s message is preached as it should be, power (character) attends its proclamation, and it becomes an abiding influence. It must be attended with divine power [Godly character = devoutly religious, devout, pious, reverent, believing, God-fearing, saintly, holy=in constant agreement with God, prayerful, spiritual], or it will accomplish nothing. I am often referred to the parable of the ten virgins, five of whom were wise, and five foolish. This parable has been and WILL BE fulfilled to the very letter, for it has a special application to this time, and, like the third angel’s message, has been fulfilled and will continue to be present truth until the close of time.” {RH, August 19, 1890 par. 3}

“It has been supposed that the Philadelphia church reached to the end. This we must regard as a mistake, as the seven churches in Asia represent seven distinct periods of the TRUE church, and the Philadelphia is the sixth, and not the last state. The true church cannot be in TWO conditions at the same time, hence we are shut up to the faith that the Laodicean church represents the church of God at the PRESENT time.

[The SDA church had already become laodicean by 1852  “The words addressed to the Laodicean Church, describe their present condition perfectly.” {RH June 10, 1852, par. 2}.]

“The CONDITIONAL PROMISES to the Philadelphia church are yet to be fulfilled to that portion of that church who comply with the conditions, pass down THROUGH the Laodicean state, and OVERCOME.

“But dear brethren, how humbling to us as a people is the sad description of THIS church. And is not this dreadful description a most perfect picture of our present condition? It is; and it will be of no use to try to evade the force of this searching testimony to the Laodicean church. The Lord help us to receive it, and to PROFIT by it. What language could better describe our condition as a people than this addressed to the Laodiceans?” White, James, The Seven Churches, R&H, 10/16/1856.

The call of the Bridegroom and Bride WAKE UP THE 10 VIRGINS. The Ten Virgins represent the Adventist church experience from “The truths that we received in 1841, ’42, ’43, and ’44 are now to be studied and proclaimed. The messages of the first, second, and third angels will in the future [now] be proclaimed with a loud voice. They will be given with earnest determination and in the power of the Spirit.” {15MR 317.1} until the END which is NOW. The message given NOW by the 144,000, the Bride of Christ wakes up the Ten Virgin ADVENTISTS (virgin because the PROFESS a pure truth but only the 5 wise put it into practice) who jump to their feet as THEY “SEE the wedding party procession moving on, bright with torches and glad with music.

In the parable, all the ten virgins [Adventists] went out to meet the bridegroom. All had lamps and vessels for oil. For a time there was seen no difference between them. So with the [Adventist] church that lives just before Christ’s second coming. All have a knowledge of the Scriptures. All have heard the message of Christ’s near approach, and confidently expect His appearing. But as in the parable, so it is now. A time of waiting intervenes [171 years from 1844 to 2015], faith is tried; and when the cry is heard, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him,” many are unready. They have no oil in their vessels with their lamps. They are destitute of the Holy Spirit (Christ’s mind/His Character=the Ten Commandments in action).

Without the Spirit of God a knowledge of His word is of no avail. The theory of truth, unaccompanied by the Holy Spirit (Christ’s character (His mind)=the law in action), cannot quicken the soul or sanctify the heart. One may be familiar with the commands and promises of the Bible; but unless the Spirit of God (in Christ, in ud=MY WORD IS SPIRIT, BIBLE VERSES ARE ALIVE/CRHIST IS ALIVE) sets the truth home, the character will not be transformed. Without the enlightenment of the Spirit, men will not be able to distinguish truth from error, and they will fall under the masterful temptations of Satan.” Christ’s Object Lessons, [p. 410-411] by Ellen G. White, Chapter 29: “To Meet the Bridegroom”, Based on Matt. 25:1-13.

“The history of the early experiences in the message will be a power to withstand the masterly ingenuity of Satan’s deceptions.” EGW, Letter 99, 1905.
My mind was carried to the future (NOW), when the signal will be given. ‘Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.’ But some will have delayed to obtain the oil for replenishing their lamps, and too late they will find that character, which is represented by the oil, is not transferable.” Review and Herald, February 11, 1896.

We are to claim Christ’s victory as our very own by the faith OF CHRIST; and enter into the Most Holy Place, the Bridal Chambers or mind of Christ, the law of GOD, His Father, by the faith OF CHRIST! According to Psalms 100:4 we enter into Christ through THANKSGIVING and into the Sanctuary through PRAISE!

The message to Laodicea is one of judgement with a call to repentance. Judgement starts with the House of God. Laodicea is the “nation of judgment.” It is the last Church, the last light bearer on Earth before the coming of Christ. This letter is to God’s people in our time.

The Lukewarm Church needs the COIN of “repentance” to buy Christ’s Character (10 Commandments) and discernment

One of Laodicea’s key faults was its “lukewarmness.” This has been going on since 1852! If Laodicea typifies the modern 501c3 General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists church members of today, then we have tons of major work to do on our own INDIVIDUAL “lukewarmness.” Sister White says, “The coin with which you purchase the white raiment and the eyesalve (discernment to see truth) is repentance.” So members of Laodicea (501c3 SDA) are hopeless until they individually repent.

What does REPENTANCE mean?

Through Christ We Can Overcome Sin
There is nothing we can do in our own strength to remedy the brokenness and sinfulness in our hearts (minds). But Christ has prepared a way for us to overcome through His strength.
The Remnant
Revelation 12 speaks of an end-time Church that is merely a remnant: the only true followers left. Acts 24:14 describes them perfectly.

The investigative judgment is symbolized by a stone cut out, but not by human hands, that smites the image of the beast that has been smuggled into God’s last day remnant SDA church.

On June 10, 1852, Ellen White wrote: “As I have of late looked around to find the humble followers of the meek and lowly Jesus, my mind has been much exercised.

Many who profess to be looking for the speedy coming of Christ, are becoming conformed to this world, and seek more earnestly the applause of those around them, than the approbation of God. They are cold and formal, like the nominal church, that they but a short time since separated from. Thewords addressed to the Laodicean Church, describe their present condition perfectly. See Revelation 3:14-20. They areneither cold nor hot,” butlukewarm.” And unless they heed the counsel of the “faithful and True Witness,” and zealously repent, and obtain “gold tried in the fire,” “white raiment,” and “eye-salve,” he will spue them out of his mouth.

The time has come when a large portion of those who once rejoiced, and shouted aloud for joy, in view of the immediate coming of the Lord, are on the ground of the churches and world who once scoffed at, and derided them for believing that Jesus was coming, and circulated all manner of falsehoods to raise prejudice against them, and destroy their influence.—If any one longs after the living God, and hungers and thirsts for righteousness, and God gives them to feel his power, and satisfies their longing soul, by shedding abroad his love in their hearts, and if they glorify God by praising him, they are, by these professed believers in the soon coming of the Lord, often considered deluded, and charged with having mesmerism or some wicked spirit.

Many of these professed Christians dress, talk and act like the world, and the only thing by which they may be known, is their profession. Though they profess to be looking for Christ, their conversation is not in heaven, but on worldly things.

“What manner of persons” ought those to be “in all holy conversation and godliness,” who profess to be “looking for, and hasting unto the day of God?” 2 Peter 3:11. “Every man that hath this hope in him, purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” 1 John 3:3. But it is evident that many who bear the advent name, study more to decorate their bodies, and appear well in the eyes of the world, than they do the word of God, to learn how they may be approved of him.

What if the lovely Jesus, our pattern, should make his appearance among them, and the professors of religion generally, as at his first advent? He was born in a manger. Follow him along through his life and ministry. He was a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief. These professed Christians would be ashamed of the meek and lowly Saviour who wore a plain, seamless coat, and had not where to lay his head. His spotless, self-denying life would condemn them; his holy solemnity would be a painful restraint upon their lightness and vain laughter; his guileless conversation would be a check to their worldly and covetous conversation; his declaring the unvarnished, cutting truth would manifest their real character, and they would wish to get the meek Pattern, the lovely Jesus, out of the way as soon as possible. They would be among the first to try to catch him in his words, and raise the cry, Crucify him! Crucify him!

Let us follow Jesus as he so meekly rode into Jerusalem, when “the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice, (. . .) Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. Some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.—And he answered and said unto them, I tell you, that if these should hold their peace the stones would immediately cry out.” A large portion of those who profess to be looking for Christ would be as forward as the Pharisees were, to have the disciples silenced, and they would doubtless raise the cry, Fanaticism! Mesmerism! Mesmerism! And the disciples spreading their garments and branches of palm-trees in the way would be thought extravagant and wild.

But God will have a people on the earth that will not be so cold and dead but that they can praise and glorify him. He will receive glory from some people, and if his chosen people, who keep his commandments should hold their peace the very stones would cry out.

Jesus is coming, but not as at his first advent, a babe in Bethlehem, not as he rode into Jerusalem, when the disciples praised God with a loud voice and cried, Hosannah; but in the glory of the Father, and with all the retinue of holy angels with him, to escort him on his way to earth. All heaven will be emptied of the angels. While the waiting saints will be looking for him, and gazing into heaven, as were the “men of Galilee” when he ascended from the Mount of Olivet.—Then, those only who are holy, those who have followed fully the meek Pattern will, with rapturous joy, exclaim as they behold him, “Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us.” And they will be changed “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump,” that wakes the sleeping saints, and calls them forth from their dusty beds, clothed with glorious immortality, shouting, Victory! Victory! over death and the grave. The changed saints are caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air, never more to be separated from the object of their love.

With such a prospect as this before us, such a glorious hope, such a redemption that Christ has purchased for us by his own blood, shall we hold our peace? Shall we not praise God, even with a loud voice, as the disciples did when Jesus rode into Jerusalem? Is not our prospect far more glorious than theirs was? Who dare then forbid us glorifying God, even with a loud voice, when we have such a hope, big with immortality and full of glory? We have tasted of the powers of the world to come, and long for more. My whole being cries out after the living God, and I shall not be satisfied until I am filled with all his fullness.

The way to heaven is rugged. Briers and thorns are in the way; but we can with cheerfulness tread the rough pathway, knowing that Jesus, the King of glory, once trod it before us.

We will rejoice that we can follow in his footsteps, and be partakers with him of his sufferings, that we may finally partake of his glory.

What if reproaches are heaped upon me, even by those who profess to be looking for the Lord? What if falsehoods are kept in circulation by “whosoever loveth a lie” made ready to their hand? All this I can bear cheerfully. Why should I repine? My Master, the King of Glory, was treated a thousand times worse than I have been, and can I, a poor, unworthy creature, expect any better treatment in following Jesus, than he received? Shall I complain, when Jesus bore the scoffs and derision of his own people, the Jews, and was finally rejected and crucified by them for me? For my sins he bore all this. No, I will not complain; I will rather rejoice and be exceeding glad that I am accounted worthy to suffer for Christ’s sake, that my reward may be in heaven. Only let me have an inheritance in glory, and it will be enough. For that, I can endure anything and everything. Heaven, sweet heaven.

“I long to be there, and the thought that ‘tis near, Makes me almost impatient for Christ to appear, And fit up that dwelling of glory so rare—The earth robed in beauty—I long to be there.”

Let us, dear brethren and sisters, crave the suffering, crucifying part of religion. For we are to be purified and fitted for the kingdom through suffering. We must keep separate from the world, if we would have the love of God abide with us. As soon as we begin to be conformed to this world, just so soon God’s Spirit begins to depart from us. But if we keep humble, live holy, harmless and separate from sinners, we shall see of the salvation of God. Let us strive to be Christians (Christ-like) in every sense of the word, and let our dress, conversation and actions preach that Christ is formed within, the hope of glory, and that we are looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus. Let us show to those around us, that this world is not our home, that we are pilgrims and strangers here.

My affections, interest, treasure, all, is in the bright world to come. I long to see the King in his beauty, whom angels adorate, and as they bow, cast their glittering crowns before him, and then touch their golden harps, and fill all heaven with their rich music.

Let those who break God’s law and teach others to do so, denounce us as fallen from grace because we keep all ten of his immutable precepts, it will not harm us. We have the satisfaction of knowing, that while they curse, Jesus has pronounced a blessing. Says the true Witness, the only Begotten of the Father, “Blessed are they that do his [the Father’s] commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the City.” Revelation 22:14.

Think ye that the commandment-keepers will be sorry, and mourn when the pearly gates of the Golden City of God are swung back upon their glittering hinges, and they are welcomed in? No, never. They will then rejoice, that they are not under the bondage of the law, but that they have kept God’s law, and therefore are free from it. They will have right to the tree of life, a right to its healing leaves. They will hear the lovely voice of Jesus, richer than any music that ever fell on mortal ear, saying, There will be no more sorrow, pain or death; sighing and crying have fled away.

“Our eyes shall then, with rapture,
The Saviour’s face behold,
Our feet, no more diverted,
Shall walk the streets of gold;
Our ears shall hear with transport
The hosts celestial sing,
Our tongues shall chant the glory
Of our Immortal King.”

Ellen G. White, THE REVIEW AND HERALD, June 10, 1852

The Remnant
Revelation 12 speaks of an end-time Church that is merely a remnant: the only true followers left.

The prophet Isaiah saw the end-time saints as a wedding party.  He saw them going forth with lamps shining brightly, even in the midst of thick darkness. Everyone is to hear the last call to the marriage supper of the Lamb. . . . These words are for us!  Isaiah 60:1-5: 1. ‘Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.  2. For behold, The darkness shall cover the earth,  And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.  3. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.  4. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see:  They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar,  And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy.’ -Isa 60:1-5 NKJV

Hosea 6:2 goes on to say, “And on the third day He will raise us up”

That we may live in His sight”, indicating, as we shall see, that this revival will carry on into the Millennium.

The Everlasting Covenant of God – the paid Bride price – the highest price ever paid for a bride – paid by his life blood. This is the central drama of the 70th week. While many will fall away the endtime saints will embrace the grand adventure and the divine romance. They will take center stage in this climactic time of witness. They will have their eyes on the Mighty One of Israel. Like our Apostle Paul they will,

“Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. -Phil. 3:14 NKJV

The truths that we received in 1841, ’42, ’43, and ’44 are now to be studied and proclaimed. The messages of the first, second, and third angels will in the future [now] be proclaimed with a loud voice. They will be given with earnest determination and in the power of the Spirit.” {15MR 317.1}

CHRIST’s MIND IN US is a settling in our MINDS of the TRUTHS of historical Adventism. The same truths taught by the 12 disciples are also taught by the 144,000! Who are the 144,000? They come from the Adventist church as leaders who practice what they preach and just like the pioneers could not join the SDA church today neither can we.

The church has changed its position over the course of time. Slowly and insidiously the Trinity doctrine and all its errors have found their way into the system of belief now professed by the SDA church. Our creed, as evidenced by the book Seventh-Day Adventists Believe, now accepts this abominable doctrine. We have accepted a doctrine that our pioneers would not have tolerated. Famous author and Andrews University seminary professor George Knight boldly admits this fact in the following statement found in MINISTRY magazine, Oct/1993 p. 10.

“Most of the founders of Seventh-day Adventism would not be able to join the church today if they had to subscribe to the denomination’s Fundamental Beliefs.” “More specifically, most would not be able to agree to belief number 2, which deals with the doctrine of the Trinity. For Joseph Bates the Trinity was an unscriptural doctrine, for James White it was that ‘old Trinitarian absurdity,’ and for M.E. Cornell it was a fruit of the great apostasy, along with such false doctrines as Sunday keeping and the immortality of the soul.”

“In like manner, most of the founders of Seventh-day Adventism would have trouble with fundamental belief number 4, which holds that Jesus is both eternal and truly God. For J.N. Andrews ‘the Son of God…had God for His Father, and did, at some point in the eternity of the past, have beginning of days.’ And E.J. Waggoner, of Minneapolis 1888 fame, penned in 1890 that ‘there was a time when Christ proceeded forth and came from God…but that time was so far back in the days of eternity that to finite comprehension it is practically without beginning.”

“Neither could most of the leading Adventists have agreed with fundamental belief number 5, which implies the personhood of the Holy Spirit. Uriah Smith, for example, not only was anti-Trinitarian, like so many of his colleagues, but also like them pictured the Holy Spirit as ‘that divine mysterious emanation through which They [the Father and the Son] carry forward their great and infinite work.’ On another occasion, Smith pictured the Holy Spirit as a ‘divine influence’ (holy character=thoughts and feelings the Ten Commandment law is a transcript of their mind which should be in us through claiming Christ’s mind as ours by the faith of Christ) and not a ‘person like the Father and the Son.”
